This was a gift from a friend and, while the urban part isn't so much relevant to my life any more, it was still a very enjoyable read about a person with little experience in farming taking on growing a lot of her own food and raising animals. I was a bit annoyed by certain portions, particularly when she loses 20 pounds in a month because she insists on only eating things she's grown/harvested; it bothers me that she puts so little planning into this idea, when she could have been much more thoughtful about growing things to better fulfill her nutritional needs.
